"I truly felt the Holy Spirit come down upon me and help me understand the challenges I am facing each day. I truly understand that he is there with each of us each and every day."
"After losing my wife last Mother's Day, I went to the Light of the World Retreat in November at our parish. Because the love of my life for nearly 55 years had such a strong faith (100% Irish), my faith had grown over the years. However the Light of the World Retreat has taken me to a much higher spiritual level, along with the Dynamic Catholic organization, both which I contribute to. Both entities' goal is to evangelize the Catholic Church in America! Though there is no connection between the two, we use Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly, the founder of Dynamic Catholic, in our weekly Light of the World group meetings. Both are so inspirational, it has led to our faith growing by leaps and bounds. Try it and you will be AMAZED!"
"The honest and open testimony from the presenters has encouraged me to become more uninhibited towards others, and less afraid of sharing myself with fellow parishioners. The retreat was powerful and faith based."
"This retreat completely changed the way I look at life. I discovered the true meaning and gifts the Holy Spirit gives, and that there's so much faith that goes beyond just going to Mass every Sunday. I feel as though I've gained 'spiritual armor'... So for any of you who are thinking about going on this retreat, GO. I promise you won't regret it."
"The LOTW Retreat opened my eyes and heart to the never-ending love and mercy Jesus has for me in a way I could not imagine. The pure joy and excitement I felt to be a Catholic was amazing. It brought me a newfound passion for life and for placing Jesus at the center of my existence. It has changed my life and I wish everyone can have the opportunity to experience it!"
"I feel a much greater sense of community with the parish after seeing so many of my fellow retreatants at Mass this morning."
"The Lord gave me a better understanding of my relationship with Him and how much He loves me."
"I first heard of this retreat on a Sunday Mass like three years ago, and thought that it could be a good thing to do, but not for me at that time. The following year I just ignored it. It was a call I just said no to. But this year again, I heard the call to go to the retreat and something in me couldn't say no. It was like an impulse that I couldn't stop. The experience of participating in LOTW was something very special to me. It came to me at a special time in my life when I was needing something significant to make me get out of my routine and restart that friendship with Jesus that was left on hold for quite sometime. I am very thankful that this experience is helping me to reignite my faith, and with the help of my new friends I will persevere in my prayers and love of Jesus and Mary."
"Well... the Lord (the Holy Ghost, I suppose) clued me in on how God's plan is dope stuff. And I gotta let the Spirit work me over, so as to put my gifts to work. For God. After all, He gave me them. So why not serve mankind with them? What better way to love God than to love my neighbor, right?"
"I saw the light, heard I am forgiven, and that I am loved, and I have to show this love to my family, to everyone, and that will make me happy and at peace."
"I was looking forward to spending time reconnecting with God and deepening my faith at the LOTW retreat, but I was not expecting the many additional blessings I received while I was there. I was surprised to find true peace and happiness through a realization of what it was that was holding me back. I was able to let go of all of my inner struggles and am now living my daily life without all of the anxiety I would normally feel in the face of the challenges of life. On top of all of this I developed friendships with people who are genuine and kind and understand the importance of unity in Christ to face the unrest and greed of the world around us."
