Monsignor Daniel J. Hermes, Supervising Director

Born on a farm near Dixon, Il, Monsignor attended Mundelein Seminary and was ordained a priest for the Rockford Diocese on May 17, 1969. He has experienced a wide variety of assignments, including priest-chaplain at the Newman Center at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL and founding pastor of St. John Neumann Parish in St. Charles, Il - one of the largest parishes in the Rockford Diocese. Active in both Cursillo and SINE, Monsignor was inspired by Evangelii Nuntiandi and the teachings of Popes Paul VI and John Paul II regarding the central place of Evangelization in the life of the Church. Monsignor co-founded Light of the World Evangelization Ministries in response to the call for parish-based evangelization.

Lori Pacer, Co-Director

Lori is native of Springfield Illinois. A Graduate of the University of Illinois, Lori left the workforce upon the birth of her first child. Over the next ten years, she devoted herself to her raising her three boys, volunteering at her parish Holy Cross Church, Batavia, IL, and participating in several community service organizations. After a brief return to secular employment as a pharmaceutical sales representative, Lori experienced the LOTW retreat. Having discerned a call by our Lord to surrender her life to more direct service of Him, Lori left the secular workforce and joined the LOTWEM staff.  She is the co-author of "God Is! Kerygmatic climbing Course."

Mike Pacer, Co- Director

A graduate of the University of Illinois and Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, Mike obtained his Masters of Theology from Holy Apostles College and Seminary, Cromwell, CT. Mike practiced as a trial attorney in Chicago and its collar counties for 15 years, before heeding a clear call from our Lord to “just leave.” Mike is a former Advocate for the Rockford Diocese Tribunal. He is the author of Prayers for Catholic Men, Servant (2008) and co-author of "God Is! Kerygmatic Climbing Course."  Mike also speaks on various topics of Spirituality and Catholic life. He is an active member of Holy Cross Parish, Batavia, IL and a proud father of three sons.
